The Common Admission Test is a national-level eligibility test that is held for admission to post-graduate management programs. Every year lakhs of aspirants appear for the examination. The level of difficulty of the examination is generally moderate to difficult.
The examination is conducted through a computer-based online mode. The question paper has three sections— Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension.
The duration of the examination will be two hours and the total number of questions will be 100 questions— 76 Questions (54 MCQs and 22 Non-MCQs).

The CAT ’21 examination date has been announced. The registration form is scheduled to begin on August 4. The examination will be held on November 28.
As per the official notification, Common Admission Test will be conducted in test centres spread across around 158 test cities. IIM Ahmedabad will officially administer this year’s examination.
The application fee for the examination has been increased to ₹2200 for unreserved category candidates. For reserved categories- OBCs, SC and ST, the application fee will be ₹ 1100.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% graduation marks. There is no age limit.
